Liz, one of Elizabeth's French students, brought her two Red Kabbalah Strings today. They were blessed by a rabbi in Israel. (really!). These strings will protect us from the influences of the evil eye. She thought we might need this to help us through our grief.
Tonight, we will tie the red strings on our wrists while saying the Ben Porat Prayer (see below and remember to read from right to left)
Anyone who dons The Red String with the awareness of Rachel the Matriarch and these powerful meditations is surrounded by the full force of protection she manifested in our physical world.
Some words of wisdom we received from family and friends this week:
Elizabeth and I went to see the doctor today to see if there is any more information about 'what happened' to Natalie.
So far, all tests are inconclusive.
The doctor wants to do more tests. ... so we gave they hospital more blood.
Once again Elizabeth outdid me (not that I am competitive). She gave 24 vials of blood and I only gave 4.
No, she did not pass out.
Instead, she drank a lot of apple juice afterwards.
We keep thinking about a recent DVD called Blue Planet that our sister Virginia gave us. There's one scene we can not get out of our thoughts. A pod of Orca whales go after two grey whales: a mother and her calf. The killer whales separate the mother from her calf by 'getting between them' --- and then they kill the calf. The mother is forced to swim away alone. She looks so sad as she swims away, leaving her calf behind.
Today, Elizabeth feels like the mother grey whale....
Note: Virgina, please do not worry --- Elizabeth is ok with this. She just empathizes with the whale. The rest of the video was very soothing and calming--just what we needed!
